5-14 Using RF Auto-Tuning with Modelling
Add APs
AddyourdistributedAPstoyournetwork.
ToadddistributedAPstoyournetwork:
1. Ifyouhavenotalreadydoneso,createawiringcloset(optional)andassociateyour
RoamAboutSwitchestothecloset.Formoreinformation,see“CreatingaWiringCloset”on
page 5‐6.
2. Goto“CreateYourDAPs”
onpage 4‐4forinformationaboutaddingdistributedAPstoyour
network.Oncecreated,APscanbeassociatedwithacoverageareaandaddedtothefloor
plan.
Associate APs to the Coverage Area
AssociateyourAPstoacoverageareaonthefloor.
ToassociateAPstothecoveragearea:
1. SelecttheRFPlanningtoolbaroption.
2. IntheContentpanel,displaythefloorplanwheretheAPsaretobeinstalled.
3. IntheOrganizerpanel,clickonCoverageAreas.
4. Right‐click(Macintosh:Control+click)the
CoverageAreatowhichtheAPsaretobe
associated,andselectEditPropertiesfromthemenu.TheCoverageAreaPropertiesdialogfor
theselectedcoverageareaappears.
5. ClicktheAssociationstabtodisplayareaassociationsinformationforthecoveragearea.
6. IntheAvailableAccessPointsbox,selectoneormore
availableAPstouseinthecoverage
area,thenclickAddtomovetheAPstotheCurrentAccessPointsbox.
